About Frank & Judy Oberle
The Oberle's love of nature have put them in the forefront of movements to save endangered species and vanishing ecosystems. Frank & Judy’s current "fight for nature" involves saving America's prairies and grasslands. These ecosystems once covered more than one third of the United States. That number is now reduced to much less than 1%.
Through Frank's wonderful photographs, books and their tireless efforts, the Oberle's have helped to bring forth a greater awareness of this loss and has rekindled a passion to save this beautiful part of America’s history. Their goal is to ignite that passion in you and to encourage the protection and restoration of native prairie and grasslands throughout middle America.
In 1993 the Oberle's purchased a farm with prairie remnants and began restoring 400 acres of tallgrass prairie. After many years of patience and commitment they now enjoy the abundant wildlife, beauty and constantly changing landscape that their prairies offer throughout the year.
Pure Air Native Seed Company was started by Frank & Judy in 1990 as a reputable source of native seed. Mother Nature, in all of her wisdom, influences which species
are grown and harvested.
